About us

The IT, Infrastructures, and Corporate Assets group is composed of four units:

  • Support
  • Infrastructure
  • Information Systems
  • Corporate Assets

 

The Support unit is in charge of:

  • providing users with support on day-to-day use of IT systems;
  • providing the procurement office and research groups with support on search, certification, and selection of IT products;
  • providing training and information seminars.

The Infrastructure unit is in charge of:

  • designing and implementing FBK’s systems and information infrastructures and carrying out maintenance so as to ensure their operation and updating;
  • providing the procurement office and research groups with assistance as to the search, certification, and selection of IT products;
  • providing training and information seminars.

The Information Systems unit is in charge of:

  • designing, implementing and maintaining the Foundation’s information systems;
  • collaborating in the design, implementation and support of web sites and the Intranet.

The Corporate Assets unit is in charge of:

  • managing utilities (power, fuel, water; fixed and mobile telephony) and contracts related to general services (concierge services, housekeeping, food service, waste, etc.);
  • managing the activities of Energy Manager and Mobility Manager;
  • managing the long-term maintenance of civil (buildings and technical installations) and special (laboratory related) installations;
  • fulfilling authorization requirements and carrying out equipment conformity periodic checks
  • carrying out construction related activities: planning and feasibility studies; drafting, also through external consulting services, of the planning; construction management and related activities, safety coordination during design and construction, construction and plant engineering; fulfillment of obligations concerning testing procedures and fitness for habitation certification of the works;
  • managing rentals, loans for use, and real estate purchases and carrying out the financial reporting of operations expenses;
  • managing fleet and mobility;
  • carrying out the maintenance of rooms and halls;
  • checking on the need for furnishings, moves, installations and providing conference activities with logistics support;
  • coordinating mail related activities;
  • managing insurance contracts;
  • managing corporate assets and taking inventory.
